Service Description
This workshop will introduce and explore the reasons why we create using the lidded vessel as a vehicle for expression. How do you find your aesthetic voice? What is your story? And why clay? Throughout the workshop, Greg will share his story and how answers these questions through his reinterpretation of the “reliquary” to honor his Midwestern roots. Day one of the workshop will include Greg’s artist talk, where he will share and discuss his inspirations and how they influence his forms and surfaces. He will then demonstrate lidded vessels, specifically a wheel thrown “one-piece” jar. From there, students will begin creating their own lidded containers. Day two will begin with students sharing their own relics and objects of inspiration. Greg will finish the pieces from day one, which will include fitting lids and addressing surface alterations. Students will finish their vessels and share their finished work at the end of the day.

Parties: 50% non-refundable deposit due at time of booking. Workshops: 50% minus $20 processing fee refunded with 72hrs notice from date of workshop, otherwise nonrefundable. Shape and Shift Course: 50% refund with at least one week notice before start of class, minus $20 processing fee. Otherwise non-refundable.
